Terms of Use
Last updated: June 29, 2026
Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Use govern your relationship with the Lecta mobile app and getlecta.app. By downloading, creating an account on, or using Lecta, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, you should not use Lecta.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Lecta. If the age of digital consent in your country is higher (up to 16 in the European Union) and you are below it, you may use Lecta only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian’s supervision and consent are required, including for any paid transactions. You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws when using your account.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and your account secure. You must not share your account or use someone else’s account without permission. You accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.
Your content
You own the content you create (notes, collections, saves, profile information, reactions). By using Lecta, you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free and transferable license to use, display and operate that content solely to provide the service. When you delete your content or close your account, this license ends, except for reasonable periods and routine backups needed to operate the service.
Unacceptable use
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content on Lecta. You may not: post content that is illegal, deceptive, threatening, harassing, hateful, obscene, exploits children, or infringes others’ rights; use others’ intellectual property without permission; create spam, fake accounts or misleading identities; or misuse the service, scrape data by automated means, reverse-engineer it, or attempt to bypass security measures. We act against content and accounts that violate these rules.
Moderation, reporting and blocking
We reserve the right to remove content and to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or our unacceptable-use rules, without prior notice. From within the app you can block other users and report inappropriate content or users to us. We review reported objectionable content within a reasonable time (targeting 24 hours) and take appropriate action.
Intellectual property
The Lecta name, logo, design, curated content and software belong to us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms grant you only a limited right to use Lecta for personal, non-commercial purposes; you may not use our brand or content without permission.
Subscriptions and payments
Lecta offers paid subscriptions; the available plans, prices, subscription length and any free-trial period are shown clearly on the purchase screen (paywall). Purchases and payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play depending on your platform and are subject to that store’s terms. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled before the current period ends; the renewal charge is taken shortly before the period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your store account settings. Where a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the trial ends when the paid subscription begins. We may change prices from time to time; changes take effect at the end of your current period and we will give prior notice where required. Because access to digital content begins at the time of purchase with your consent, any right of withdrawal may end at that point to the extent permitted by law; your statutory consumer rights and the relevant store’s refund policy remain unaffected. Refunds are subject to the relevant store’s policy.
Disclaimer of warranties
Lecta is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or fully secure, or that content will always be accurate and complete. You use Lecta at your own risk.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lecta and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, revenue or reputation. Your rights under consumer-protection law remain reserved.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms. You may also close your account at any time via Settings → Delete account. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, limitation of liability, governing law) remain in effect.
App stores
If you obtained Lecta through the Apple App Store or Google Play, the following also applies: these terms are between you and us only; Apple and Google are not parties and are not responsible for the service or its content. You are granted a personal, non-transferable license to use Lecta only on devices permitted by the relevant store’s rules. Maintenance and support of the app are our responsibility alone; Apple and Google have no such obligation. If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, Apple may refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted, any further obligation is ours. We are responsible for claims that the app infringes third-party rights or fails to comply with consumer/product law. When using Lecta you represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. embargo and are not on any prohibited or restricted-party list. Apple and Google are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Disputes arising from these terms are subject to the Istanbul (Çağlayan) Courts and Enforcement Offices; if you are a consumer, your right to apply to the consumer courts or arbitration committees at your place of residence is reserved.
Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from third-party claims, damages and reasonable legal fees arising from your use of Lecta, the content you share, or your breach of these terms or the law.
Copyright and content takedown
We respect intellectual-property rights. If you believe content on Lecta infringes your copyright or other rights, send a notice to hello@getlecta.app identifying the work, the infringing content and your contact details. We review valid notices, remove content where appropriate, and terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
Changes to the service
We may modify, limit or discontinue the service and its features from time to time. We try to give reasonable notice of significant changes, but we do not guarantee the continued availability of any feature.
General provisions
If any provision of these terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. We may assign our rights and obligations through an assignment, merger or similar transaction; you may not assign yours without our prior written consent.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms from time to time, will notify you of significant changes, and publish the current version on this page. For questions, contact us at hello@getlecta.app.
