Data controller
Under Türkiye’s Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK"), the data controller of your personal data is Lecta (registered address: Sahrayıcedit, Kadıköy / İstanbul). You can reach the data controller at hello@getlecta.app. (Before incorporation/launch, the controller name and address in this notice will be updated with the relevant legal entity name and registered address.)
Personal data processed and purposes
We process your identity and contact data (name, email, and your phone number if you provide it), the content you create (saves, notes, collections, reactions, follow relationships), your usage and device data, your location when permitted, and the irreversible hashes of your contacts’ numbers. This data is processed to provide and operate the service and your account, to enable friend matching, to personalize your experience, to keep the service safe, and to meet legal obligations.
Legal bases
Under KVKK Articles 5 and 6, your data is processed on the following bases: necessity for the establishment or performance of a contract (your account and the service), your explicit consent (e.g. contacts and location access), the legitimate interests of the data controller provided your fundamental rights are not harmed (security, abuse prevention), and compliance with our legal obligations.
Transfers
Your data may be transferred to domestic and international service providers that operate on our behalf and instructions (hosting, analytics, error tracking, payments, maps, authentication), and to competent public authorities where legally required. International transfers comply with the conditions set out in applicable law.
Your rights and how to apply
Under KVKK Article 11 you have the right to learn whether your data is processed and to request information about it, to learn its purpose and whether it is used accordingly, to request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data, to request erasure or destruction when the conditions are met, to have these actions notified to third parties, to object to outcomes arising solely from automated analysis, and to claim compensation for damage arising from unlawful processing. How to apply and complain to the Board
You may submit your request in writing together with information confirming your identity, or by emailing hello@getlecta.app, in accordance with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles for Application to the Data Controller. We conclude requests within 30 days at the latest; if the request requires additional cost, a fee within the tariff set by the Board may apply. If your request is rejected, our response is inadequate, or we do not respond in time, you retain the right to lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Board (KVKK).
